Opportunity

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a talented Data Architect to join our Space & Defence client's dynamic team. As a Data Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting stakeholders within Space Systems projects by expertly managing data processes. Our client's team is at the forefront of digitalization, driving innovation across the company.

The Role

In close collaboration with stakeholders, you'll unravel their unique use cases. By meticulously collating their requirements, you'll create a comprehensive database SRDB user requirements documentation.

As the Data Architect behind Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for the database, you'll ensure seamless data flow across different engineering professions. These documents maintain consistency and reliability. Whether liaising with the development team or directly contributing, you'll drive the ongoing development of the database tool, ensuring updates and enhancements are seamlessly integrated.

You'll also formalize the database change process, adapting and improving as needed. Administering and managing the database population, maintenance, and timely delivery to stakeholders will be part of your daily responsibilities with an understanding of Java and GIT.

Structured validation plans for both the database tool and its content are essential. You will track the validation status of database content and provide regular reports, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

Essential Skills

  • Intermediate to advanced level in Java.
  • Intermediate level in GIT.
  • Experience with Database Management System development and administration, including SQL, EMF Query2, or other query languages.
  • Working knowledge within an engineering context.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming.
