As a CAD Technician, you'll collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, providing CAD services to customers, ensuring accurate deliverables, and fostering knowledge exchange.
Reporting to the Office Lead - Power, the CAD Technician will play a crucial role in delivering holistic design solutions for projects, adhering to CAD standards and client site procedures. Responsibilities include liaising with team members, managing time effectively to meet project deadlines, and promoting a safe working environment. The role offers opportunities for career development and progression as the employee gains experience and expertise.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in design within technical fields such as HV Underground Cables, Primary Substation Equipment & OHL Draughting. Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) is essential, with additional experience in Autodesk Revit or Bentley Microstation preferred. A minimum qualification of HNC / D level is required, with EngTech MIET or MICE status desirable. Strong technical skills, interpersonal communication, and organizational abilities are key for success in this role.
