Belcan Workforce Solutions are seeking a Business Controller / Management Accountant for a 12-month contract to join our client's Finance team in Belfast.
The client is offering up to £46.82 per hour Umbrella (PAYE option is also an option), the role is Inside of IR35. This is initially site based whilst getting up to speed and will then move to hybrid working with minimum 3 days required on-site per week.
About the Role
Our client, a major player in the aerospace and manufacturing sector, is seeking a talented Business Controller / Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills and financial insight will directly support strategic decision-making and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes across all business units.
- Collaborate with operational managers to identify and validate improvement projects, including financial sizing, business case development, and ROI analysis.
- Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to both local and central teams, ensuring performance visibility and early risk identification.
- Provide financial challenge and guidance to operational teams, driving performance improvements and mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate business cases for investments and improvement projects, ensuring robust financial analysis and challenge.
- Oversee financial controlling activities across Recurring Cost, Inventory, Non-Recurring Cost, and Capex Jigs/Tools (as required).
About You
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred) with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a manufacturing or commercial setting.
- Proficient in SAP or similar financial reporting systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across various levels and geographies.
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
Given the role's nature, the selected candidate will undergo BPSS clearance before commencing.
