One of our aerospace clients are seeking an experienced APQP Specialist to join their Manufacturing Engineering team. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in aerospace manufacturing.

What will you be doing?

As an APQP Specialist, you will lead the implementation of APQP methodologies and tools, ensuring quality is embedded within aerospace manufacturing processes. You will collaborate with design engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to develop and execute APQP plans. Risk assessments, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), will be conducted to identify potential quality issues and apply mitigation strategies. Additionally, you will define and optimize manufacturing processes and controls to meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Your role will involve facilitating design reviews, process validations, and other APQP-related activities to ensure product and process readiness for production. You will monitor key quality metrics, providing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement. Problem-solving and root cause analysis will be essential to address quality issues and implement corrective actions effectively.

What are we looking for?

To qualify, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. A minimum of five years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, specifically focused on APQP in the aerospace industry, is required. Knowledge of APQP methodologies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements such as AS9100 is essential. Proficiency in risk assessment techniques, process optimization, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles is also required. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
